Domino was presented with a Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce Global Award for its ongoing staff development initiatives including its investment in a benchmarking tool to measure the performance and development of employees, monthly international trade training sessions and a broad external training programme.
Also highly regarded were its future plans to extend the training to Domino’s European manufacturing sites and implement a competency matrix to further employees’ development in 2017.
The Award for Excellence in Staff Development was presented to Irina Purcell, Domino’s Logistics Network Manager at the Chamber’s inaugural Global Leaders Lunch and Awards held recently at Downing College.
Guest speaker was Harriet Fear, UK Business Ambassador and Chief Executive of One Nucleus, who shared her distinguished perspective of the global marketplace and drew on her varied career which has seen her work closely with many industries across the world.
The Award For Excellence in Staff Development recognises organisations that demonstrate a commitment to developing a business culture that promotes and values learning and personal development. Entrants were required to communicate how this culture has been developed and how it has contributed to the business achieving outstanding success.
