Downing College welcomes new clients

This month, Downing College opened its doors to new clients at a special reception to showcase its conference and events facilities, including the newly-refurbished Howard Building which has just undergone a six-month major refurbishment programme to improve its energy efficiency and green credentials.

Clients from regional businesses and organisations were looking for facilities for a wide range of events from residential conferences to private dinners. In addition to sampling the award-winning food and Pimms, guests were also taken on showrounds by the Conference Team.

Jacqui Cressey, Conference Services Manager at Downing said: “We were delighted to invite new clients to our Introduction Event and to be able to show them the wide range of facilities on offer.

“They were particularly keen to see the Howard Theatre, an environmentally-sustainable building with ground-source heating and cooling, as well as our hotel-standard bedrooms and award-winning College Hall.

“It was an excellent opportunity to showcase what we can offer for events of all types and sizes and the feedback we received was very positive.”
