The half day event will bring together companies from across Ely and East Cambridgeshire to develop a greater understanding of the necessary steps they need to take to grow their business. Training and development providers will also be on hand to help businesses consider how their staff could be developed to enable future success.
Mark Read, Chairman of the Ely Chamber of Commerce, said: “For any businesses owner it is essential to have a clear idea of the steps that need to be taken in order to grow and expand. Without a set plan on how to achieve growth, businesses can become complacent and lose their competitive edge.
“Grow your Business through People is an increasingly popular annual event featuring interactive case studies of how local businesses have invested in their people and boosted their bottom line. With continued economic growth forecast in our region and a tightening labour market, this event is a great opportunity to create or review your employment strategy for growing your business through people.”
Last year’s event in Ely attracted over 50 businesses from all different sectors and industries and it is expected that this year will be just as popular. Businesses already booked to attend include - Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Outward Bound Award Association, Anglia Ruskin University, David Ball Group, Ensors Chartered Accountants, Labour-Tech Recruitment Ltd, The Cambridge Lady, G’s Fresh Products, Public & Corporate Economic Consultants, BrightVisions Ltd, Price Bailey Ely, Cambscuisine and N & C Glass Ltd.
Grow your Business through People is organised by the Chambers’ Learning and Skills Sector in conjunction with Ely Cathedral Celebration of Business.
