Emmanuel College chef represents England in Culinary World Cup

Nathan Aldous, Deputy Head Chef at Emmanuel College, is celebrating success at gaining a place in the Senior Team representing England in the Culinary World Cup.

The team will combine under the British Culinary Federation as national member of the World Association of Chefs’ Societies for the event, which will take place in Expogast, Luxembourg between 22 and 26 November 2014.

The teams will be tasked with producing a three-course menu for 110 covers, plus an International Buffet in their attempts to claim the title. The event takes place every four year and more than 45 teams from around the world will be competing.

Francois Reverchon, Head of Catering at Emmanuel College said: “Matthew Carter, Head Chef, and I are very proud that Nathan, who has been at Emmanuel College for many years, has been chosen to represent his country at Expogast this year. He spends much of his own time practising, refining and developing dishes to a very high standard.  We wish him every success."

Some of Nathan’s work can be seen on the Emmanuel Chefs’ Twitter feed.
