Cambridge Building Society writes:
We are one of the sponsors of this year’s e-Luminate festival and have an installation called ‘4 Colours’ by Light Motif lighting up the building.
Ours is just one of many Cambridge locations that are being illuminated as part of the festival which is taking place during the Unesco Year of Light. Other installations can be found at buildings including Great St Mary’s Church, King’s College Chapel and Barr Ellison’s office on Parkside.
The festival began in 2013 and is a social enterprise working with light to reach a wide range of communities across different generations through exciting public events and an education programme.
As a community-focussed organisation we are looking forward to the varied activities the festival offers for all audiences. Make sure you visit the light hub on Parker’s Piece which includes an LED graffiti wall that responds to water. Other activities in the programme include concerts, performances, workshops and tours. For full details visit the official festival website: www.e-luminatefestivals.co.uk
Carole Charter Head of Marketing said: “We are very excited to be a part of the e-Luminate Cambridge Festival which promises to be both innovative and inspiring. We are committed to supporting the local community and the programme of events has something for everyone.
“This is a great chance to see our beautiful city in a new light and I have no doubt e-Luminate will get Cambridge talking.”
The official social media hashtag for the festival is #LoveLight2015 and in addition to this we are asking our team, customers and friends to share their photos with us using #yourcambridge. This way they will appear on our dedicated page which brings together images from different events or activities that get Cambridge talking.
