The FLS122 was named as overall winner against two other finalists in the sensors category following an in-depth assessment by a panel of eight industry judges. Sensors was one of nine award categories designed to showcase the latest breakthrough innovations from French and European companies. The awards ceremony took place on Tuesday 28 November at the Espace Hamelin, Paris.
The FLS122 addresses a growing market demand for scalable, high-performance and more cost-efficient air flow sensor technology.
It achieves this by leveraging Flusso’s Tungsten MEMS technology, which uses standard CMOS processes to create the MEMS sensor components, coupled with an adaptive three-mode drive and read-out method to significantly improve its measurement performance over alternative technologies. This innovative approach means the FLS122 can be fully integrated into existing low-cost CMOS manufacturing lines to boost production flexibility and scalability.
The Electrons d’Or awards were established 25 years ago by Electroniques, the leading French electronics publication, to recognise and raise awareness of new innovations within the electronics sector. This year’s event was jointly organised with ACSIEL Alliance Électronique, a trade organisation that brings together everyone involved in the industry’s value chain from academic research through to equipment manufacturers.
