A team from Conference Cambridge is flying the flag for the city of Cambridge as an ideal location for conferences and events at IMEX America in Las Vegas from 15-17 October 2013 – and offering IMEX America delegates the chance to win a special limited edition gift to take home.
Joining forces with VistEngland, the team are heading to the USA for the first time in Conference Cambridge’s 15-year history in a bid to further enhance the global reputation of Cambridge at America’s world-wide exhibition for the incentive travel, meetings and events industry
Visitors to the VisitEngland stand will have an opportunity to enter into a prize draw with a chance to win a special gift made in Cambridge – a limited edition Brit Bag designed and manufactured by the award-winning Cambridge Satchel Company to commemorate the birth of Prince George of Cambridge and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Conference Cambridge is the official, free venue-finding service for the University and its Colleges – as well as a number of unique venues in and around Cambridge – and will be promoting its first-class portfolio of venues, both historic and contemporary.
Recent figures show that academic venues in particular are bucking the trend in terms of popularity for events, as not only do they offer a unique experience for delegates but also provide a conducive environment for learning.
Kelly Vickers, Manager of Conference Cambridge said: “We are delighted to be attending IMEX America to fly the flag for Cambridge and to showcase our range of venues and facilities for meetings. Cambridge can deliver a truly unique event experience and with the recent additions to our venue portfolio, we now offer a wider choice of venues suitable for events of all types.
“We also want to encourage delegates to visit us – on stand 2416 – to meet us and hear more, as well as be in with a chance to win a Brit Bag, a truly Cambridge gift.
“Cambridge has an international reputation not only for its University but also its ground-breaking scientific and medical research, both in the past and today. Located less then an hour by rail from London – and with the announcement of new routes and opportunities to connect via Europe and fly into Cambridge International Airport – we are ideally situated for all types of events”
