The Food Marketing Experts helps food & drink businesses during pandemic

Cambridge based specialist food marketing agency, The Food Marketing Experts is rolling out two new services to help food and drink businesses not just survive but thrive in the current challenging market conditions.

‘A picture paints a thousand words’ is an apposite quote for anyone involved in the food and drink sector and the origination of fresh, on-brand visuals to support social media campaigns is essential – yet it can prove time-consuming and potentially expensive.

In response to this, The Food Marketing Experts has launched a social media photography subscription service which will enable food and drink producers or suppliers to benefit from eye-catching and engaging photographic content to help boost their social media following.

The service provides 10 compelling images per month, specifically developed in line with a company’s proposition and consistent with their brand guidelines. Usage is for two years and images can be featured on social media only, additional usage for press or promotional material is available but will be negotiated separately.

For those new to the sector or wanting an experienced and safe pair of hands to help them navigate a route to success, the company is offering mentoring sessions, ranging from a one hour to a three-month mentoring package. Mentoring will cover a wide range of topics from defining goals and strategies; sales pipeline and routes to market; event and networking opportunities; marketing specific recommendations and top tips on how to hit business objectives. All mentoring is currently via telephone or Skype.

Commenting on the new initiatives, managing director Vhari Russell (pictured) said, “The current climate offers significant opportunities for those in the food and drink sector but it is very much survival of the fittest, and this can mean adapting your existing business model in response to some of the constraints in operation as a result of Covid-19. Marketing tactics that might have worked well for your business in the past may no longer be valid and it is important for companies to be aware of the many new and exciting initiatives that can help put them back on the road to success. During the pandemic, we have been inundated with enquiries, especially from businesses who have had to ‘pivot’ their traditional trading model to reflect the changes in consumer buying habits. Our two new services are both designed to provide practical and tactical support, enabling clients to access the wealth of knowledge and industry expertise available via our established team of marketing professionals.”
