The Wujin Green Building Cluster Demonstration Zone has been established by the Jiangsu Province Government and is the only such zone to have been approved by the national Chinese Government – Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. The Chinese authorities are sponsoring the free place, for an innovative SME building technologies company, as they are keen to implement solutions which will help reduce pollution and address other environmental concerns in the country.
The competition will run from now until 31 July 2017 and the short application form can be found on the Cambridge Cleantech website here. Companies must describe in 250 words how their product is relevant for the Chinese market and how it fits into the Wujin Zone. The winning company will be chosen by Cambridge Environment and Technology and their decision is final.
The Cleantech Mission to Wujin in China takes place from 27 to 29 September 2017. More information and the invitation to attend can be found here: http://www.cambridgecleantech.org.uk/events/tech-smart-international-china-mission
Yanray Rozier, CEO of Cambridge Environment Technology, says: “We have signed an agreement with the Wujin Green Building Zone for a long-term partnership to source and promote advanced European green technologies in Wujin for the Chinese Market. I am delighted to be working with Cambridge Cleantech as we can tap into the rich and diverse range of highly innovative member companies, many of which specialise in building technologies."
Martin Garratt, CEO at Cambridge Cleantech, comments: “Our members have identified Asia and China in particular as a key target market for the cleantech sector and so I am delighted to be able to team up with Cambridge Environment Technology, who have a vast experience of the Chinese market, to offer this free place to one of our members. The mission in late September is of course open to all companies to experience and consider expanding into the Chinese market and further information can be found on our website."
Cambridge Cleantech is the members’ organisation supporting the growth of environmental goods and services or “cleantech” companies in Greater Cambridge and across the region.
Our ambitious plans are to further develop Cambridge as a leading cleantech centre in Europe and in doing so help promote the next wave of the Cambridge hi-tech cluster. Cambridge Cleantech encourages supply chain opportunities for companies in the sector, enables shared experience of innovative growth businesses and provides collective services such as access to finance, government regulatory updates and links to international partners.
