What's your name and what do you do at the Guardtech Group?
“Hiya! I’m Cassey and I’m the Operations Co-ordinator.”
And what does that role involve?
“I schedule cleanroom validations and service appointments for the upkeep of cleanrooms all over the country – some that we’ve built, and others we haven’t that need a little Guardtech TLC.”
How long have you been at Guardtech – and what was your background before?
“I’ve been at Guardtech for four months – so I’m something of a newbie! I had various roles in nurseries for 17 years, working my way up from an apprentice to manager of the Head Office site for Golden Apples, which is owned by the same family as Guardtech.”
Lovely! So, what is it that you like about working at Guardtech?
“I like that I’m not only learning something new everyday, but that it’s the exact opposite to what I’m used to.”
What sort of stuff do you like doing outside of work?
“I love spending time with my family and walking my dog, Elsie.”
If you had to pair up with one person in the office who would it be – and why?
“Chris McGinn [Compliance Manager] and Tom Rossiter [Service Engineer] – they both have a wealth of knowledge about the tests carried out to ensure cleanrooms are up to spec and working as intended.”
What has been your favourite project to work on so far?
“I’ve enjoyed going to different sites of ours to see the works that I schedule being carried out. It’s helped me understand what things are needed to keep cleanrooms in top shape.”
