Name: Craig Druce
Role: Site Project Managaer
So, what’s your name and what do you do at the Guardtech Group?
“Hey, I’m Craig and I’m predominantly involved with cleanroom project management, but I also get involved with numerous other activities including site management and site build activities.”
How long have you been at Guardtech – and have you always worked in project management?
“I’ve been with Guardtech for two years now and have been in the cleanroom industry for more than a decade. Previous to that, I worked in the installation division of a luxury yacht manufacturer!”
Wow – you can build me one of those any time! What is it that you like about working at Guardtech?
“Being surrounded by an awesome Guardtech team built on great values. The Guardtech Group cleanroom designs also offer variety, with no two jobs the same.”
What sort of stuff do you like doing outside of work?
“I enjoy participating in any form of football where possible, including playing, refereeing and ground-hopping. I also enjoy travelling and countryside walks with my family and dogs.”
Right, now try this on for size… if you had to pair up with one person in the office who would it be – and why?
“We have a lot of legends in the business, but if I had to choose one it would be my fellow Project Manager Elliott Pearce. Not only is he a top guy, he’s the first name on the teamsheet when playing five-apside. Being a Tottenham supporter proves he is not superhuman and makes mistakes – ahahaha!”
Good reasoning! What has been your favourite project to work on then?
“Every project has given me lasting memories (good and not so good!!) so it’s difficult to choose just one. I would maybe say Sherlock Biosciences. Having all the design and engineering work visible and then seeing the drone footage of it all looked great.”
