Howard Group strengthens team with appointment of Thomas Bewes as Asset Manager

Cambridge - Property investment and development company Howard Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Bewes MRICS as Asset Manager.

Thomas Bewes, Asset Manager

Thomas, a chartered surveyor, joins Howard Group from JLL, where he spent the last five years, most recently in the Industrial & Logistics Agency team, with responsibility for a portfolio of clients across Hertfordshire and East Anglia. Prior to joining JLL, Thomas studied at the University of Cambridge (Emmanuel College) and was awarded his Masters in Planning, Growth and Regeneration in 2018.

Ever mindful of the speed of change very much in evidence across the property sector, Howard Group remains committed to embracing these changes – addressing the challenges and exploring the opportunities, specifically around sustainability and growth. Thomas’ appointment brings additional resource and expertise to the team as it continues to strive for excellence, whilst balancing its financial, environmental and social responsibilities as a long-term investor in people, places and ideas.

Katherine Friend, Director – Investment & Asset Management, Howard Group, said: “I am delighted to welcome Thomas to Howard Group. His experience complements that of our existing team perfectly and we are excited to have him on board as we enter another significant period of activity and growth across our asset management and investment portfolios.”

Thomas added: “It’s an exciting opportunity for me to be involved at Howard Group as we drive towards the Centenary Vision and seek to foster sustainable growth across the existing portfolio as well as investing responsibly in new ventures and assets.”

Thomas’ initial focus will be on implementing strategic asset plan initiatives across the portfolio, including leasing and redevelopment activity at Elizabeth and Juno Way Industrial Estates in Lewisham and reviewing the Group’s residential portfolio for future growth. Thomas will also be integrally involved in shaping the portfolio towards achieving the Group’s Centenary Vision to achieve net zero carbon by 2035.
