On 24th August, Price Bailey sponsored Newmarket Nights at Newmarket Racecourse, part of this sponsorship included a fundraising opportunity for their charity partner Action Medical Research. Together with some volunteers from the charity, Jenna Keightley braved the hot weather and collected a fantastic £544.63 from generous race-goers.
The money raised will go towards Action Medical Research’s ‘Saving Tiny Lives’ campaign which is focused on funding research and developing treatments into premature birth and other pregnancy complications. According to Action Medical Research, around 60,000 babies are born prematurely in the UK, and sadly 1,000 tragically die making it the most significant cause of death in babies; for those that do survive, it’s also the leading cause of disability.
James King, Corporate Social Responsibility Partner at Price Bailey said: “This is the latest in a fundraising effort by Price Bailey which has seen employees of the firm raise over £75,000 for Action Medical Research. We are very grateful to the general public for their generosity and we are proud of Jenna’s fundraising effort. The research that we help Action to fund for their ‘Saving Tiny Lives’ campaign is valuable in improving the futures of premature babies and is a very worthy cause.”
Tracy Stratford, Action Medical Research’s Community Fundraiser added: “Action Medical Research are thrilled to hear that our team of volunteers managed by Price Bailey raised such a fantastic sum of money at the Newmarket collection. We really are so grateful for their dedication in raising these funds for our ‘Saving Tiny Lives’ campaign and helping us raise awareness of premature birth. Thank you to our collectors and also the generous individuals who dropped their cash in the buckets.”
