2016 is Addenbrooke’s 250th anniversary year, so this year ACT is inviting 250 people to take part on the day or come along and cheer on friends and family. Money raised will be in aid of the Addenbrooke’s 250 Appeal, which supports patients wherever the need is greatest across Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie.

The 5k event is a fun run suitable for all the family around the Addenbrooke’s Hospital site. Participants are invited to run, skip, walk or hop in fancy dress – whatever is fun for you. The route is also accessible for pushchairs and those with limited mobility. ACT mascot Rudy the Reindeer will also be joining participants on the day.

Emily Willdigg, Community fundraiser at ACT, said: “The Rudolph Run is a fantastic event that sees people of all ages getting together to raise money to support patient care at Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie. Don’t worry if you’re not the fastest runner or quickest walker – don your festive fancy dress and have fun! Please join us and sign up today to help us make a difference for patients at this special time of year.”

There is a registration fee of £20 per adult or £10 per child (ages 5 - 15 years) which includes a runner number, festive reindeer antlers and flashing red nose! Minimum sponsorship also applies.

Registering to take part is easy – simply go online at www.act4addenbrookes.org.uk/RudolphRun or call 01223 217757.
