Justin Miles talks about 'Adventure by accident'

With a remarkable story of how he overcame debilitating injuries to become a ‘professional explorer', Justin Miles - who speaks at Cambridge Network's next business lecture on Wednesday 17 April - has tales to tell that are relevant both in our personal lives and in the board room.

A car accident 13 years ago resulted in brain injuries leaving Justin Miles having to re-learn basic functions, from walking to talking. During his self-designed and administered recovery plan, Justin came up with a crazy idea to change his life and become a 'professional explorer', using his adventures to support charities and to fuel an education project. With that objective in mind, he developed goals and then set about turning his dream in to a reality.

Now Justin tackles some of the most challenging expeditions and adventures all over the globe in polar, mountain, desert and jungle regions. He uses his experiences to fuel a nation-wide education initiative, 'The Schools Explorer' and to support the emergency medical charity Magpas.

In this entertaining 30-minute presentation, Justin will introduce his life as an adventurer entwined with lessons that we can all use, from our personal lives to the board room.

Justin Miles is a motivational and inspirational speaker and has combined his time in the corporate and consultancy arena with his experience in the world of extreme expeditions to design leadership and team development programmes, workshops and activity based courses which help businesses to improve performance.
