“We are excited to be forming a powerful and exclusive partnership with Cordic,” said Justin Peters, CEO of Kabbee. “By combining the consumer appeal of our award-winning mobile apps with Cordic’s market leading fleet management software, we can create the perfect outcome for fleets, drivers and consumers. Kabbee’s vision is to improve the sector for all stakeholders and this agreement is a big step in that direction.”
The UK private hire sector is worth £5bn p.a. with approximately 40% of the market in Greater London. Though large, the fragmented market has historically meant customers have sub-standard access to high quality providers while fleets face significant challenges to grow outside their traditional areas. The partnership with Cordic means that once a passenger makes their booking on the Kabbee app/website, the journey will be electronically ‘dropped’ into a fleet’s despatch software and then the GPS system of the closest available driver. This eliminates any potential risk of human error, speeds up the process and means that the minicab driver wastes less time and fuel finding an address. Passengers will benefit from reduced lead times and richer data from a wider choice of fleets. The ability for passengers to track the movement of their car is available in competing black taxi apps and has been a critical feature in their success. Kabbee will now also offer this functionality.
“Kabbee and Cordic are very complementary. Kabbee ensures customers get the cab they want by enabling a marketplace for fleets, while Cordic ensures fleets provide great service for each booking” said Fara Arani, Commercial Director of Cordic. “Our partnership will not only improve the passenger experience, but will also enable our fleets and their drivers to increase revenues while empowering staff. We believe working with Kabbee will drive the industry forward”.
The deal with Cordic will support Kabbee’s UK expansion to major UK cities by enabling faster addition of fleets to Kabbee’s customer offering.
