His impassioned addresses at both the pre-march rally in Park Lane and from a mobile sound system, while marching along Piccadilly, were hailed as highlights of the event by those in attendance.
Henry’s confident and powerful delivery captivated fellow campaigners and onlookers. It also earned him an interview on the children’s news program, Sky Kids FYI – meaning his message on environmental conservation and climate action will reach a broader audience, and further amplify the event organiser’s key messages.
The ‘Restore Nature Now’ march, which was conceptualised by renowned naturalist Chris Packham, was a peaceful, family-friendly event that united over 300 nature-focused organizations, including the National Trust, Wildlife Trust, and RSPB, along with numerous local and species-specific charities. Delivering a simple but powerful message to all UK political parties that they must ‘Restore Nature Now’, the march culminated in a rally in Parliament Square, with speeches from various prominent figures including Chris Packham, actress Dame Emma Thompson and wildlife presenter Steve Backshall.
The Restore Nature Now march was designed to shine the spotlight on five key areas:
- Giving a pay-rise for nature
- Making polluters pay
- Delivering more space for nature
- Putting a right to a healthy environment in law
- Ensuring fair and effective climate action.
