William Hills has taken over and rebranded a central London pub for the entire 2018 World cup.
The William Hills Arms is the perfect sports pub - play darts with Rob Cross and Bobby George, quick game of pool with world snooker boss Mark Williams and don’t worry about any bother, British and commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora is on the door.
This week the house band was Keith Allen (Fat Les) who took to the stage to sing “Vindaloo” before surfing the crowd, watch again: https://goo.gl/QMZj9r
WaveFX provided the crew cameras and webcasting kit for all the England World Cup webcasts, streaming live to thousands via Facebook and Twitter. The clever bit of kit used is a portable 4K portable vision mixer and encoder which allows for multiple cameras, graphics, social media and pre-made videos to be mixed into any webcast.
The growth of live streaming has been remarkable with event webcasting now an established part of business, sports, stage shows and social media marketing.

Adrian Taplin, streaming tech at WaveFX, commented “This was a first for us, filming and streaming from a pub in full flow. Each of the World Cup webcasts was chaotic and challenging but the party atmosphere was amazing. Second hardest challenge however was keeping to the lime and soda!”
WaveFX regularly works with production companies, event organisers and venues to offer their clients a webcasting service. It is a completely white label streaming company and happy to wear any company T-shirt.
