Marshall supports Thomas Cook jobs fair

Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group is helping to support local communities following the collapse of Thomas Cook.

The company is attending a recruitment open day in Peterborough tomorrow (2 October), organised by Thomas Cook, to help the travel company’s employees who lost their jobs when the company ceased trading last month.

As well as giving people the opportunity to apply for roles in various departments, the company is also offering help with crafting CVs, interview techniques and confidence-building.

“We recognise the synergies between our two businesses. We have some great opportunities at Marshall and welcome the chance to talk to the talented individuals at TC about those opportunities,” said Diana Sewell, Resourcing Specialist at Marshall ADG.

“We appreciate that some employees haven’t decided to pursue new roles yet so we are happy to offer all the support we can to give them confidence in their job search.”

A team of recruitment specialists from Marshall will be on hand to talk to visitors about roles in finance, marketing and procurement, among others. The jobs fair takes place at the Holiday Inn Thorpe Wood, Peterborough at 2pm – 6pm tomorrow.
