Built in late Victorian times, it was operated from 1890 by Cambridge Water supplying most of the drinking water for Cambridge until the late 70s. Empty for 15 years it was rescued by Hannah Reed and converted into their offices for nearly 30 years.
Green Street Properties' objectives are to keep as many of the fascinating features of this old building as possible while offering spacious accommodation with all modern amenities. Plans are also being drawn up to create a truly green environment with as low a carbon footprint as modern technology will allow.
The company hopes to start this project in February 2023 and to have the flats ready for sale by the end of the year.
