Meeting with fundraising staff to discuss grant funding in particular, Daniel Zeichner will then tour the hospice including visiting rooms such as the sensory room, hydrotherapy pool, music therapy room, family suite and bedrooms.
Daniel Zeichner said: “It is a privilege to be able to meet the dedicated staff and incredible volunteers who work at EACH, supporting children and families through the most difficult of times and providing the highest possible care for those with life-threatening health conditions. The hospice depends upon grant funding and I hope to learn more about how more finance can be made available.”
Sam Lucking, Director of Income Generation at East Anglia Children’s Hospice, added: “We are really grateful that Daniel has taken the time to visit our hospice in Milton to see and hear first hand about the difference our care makes to local families. It costs over £5,000 to pay for a full day and night of care at Milton, and in the surrounding community. We have to generate the majority of our income ourselves so grant funding is vital to help us continue our services for over 450 families in the region.”
EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia and supports their families. For both families accessing care and those who have been bereaved, EACH is a lifeline at an unimaginably difficult time.
