Millie Packer joins Murray Edwards College as Events Assistant, helping with the day-to-day running of the office, as well as liaising with Fellows, Students and departmental staff on arrangement for future events.
Previously Millie worked as a Private Dining and Wedding Coordinator at a hotel, after studying Stage Management and Technical Theatre at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Millie says: “I am excited to have joined the events team at Murray Edwards and I enjoy the varied nature of the role, in particular not knowing what type of event might come up next! Attention to detail is key to ensure that all arrangements are understood and communicated to the right people on the day.”

Murray Edwards College is located in ten acres of peaceful gardens recently selected for inclusion in the ‘Good Gardens Guide’ and has two dedicated conference centres, providing flexible meeting space for a wide range of conferences and events. With free car parking on site, it offers 162 modern en suite bedrooms during the vacations, in addition to 12 in The Kaetsu Centre. Visitors can enjoy the extensive modern Art Collection on display throughout the College, comprising a wide range of works donated by female artists including sculptures in the gardens.
