PA Consulting wins Gold at IHAF In-House Creativity Awards 2020

PA Consulting (PA), the consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, has been awarded Gold at IHAF In-House Creativity Awards 2020 in the Event category for its world-first, sustainable, multi-use and modular stand, designed and produced in collaboration with Ecobooth.

The In-House Agency Forum Awards recognise creative excellence among internal agencies across 38 print and digital categories, including advertising, annual reports, corporate identity, events, out-of-home, publications, and social media. Over 700 entrants took part in the competition, including industry giants such as The Coca-Cola Company, Facebook, Nestle, PWC, Budweiser, Bloomberg and Warner Media.

PA, with its strong heritage in product design and innovation, worked with Ecobooth, the world's first design and production house dedicated exclusively to sustainable event productions to identify new technologies and create a circular business model, addressing the over 100,000 tonnes of waste produced by the UK events industry every year. The exhibition stands are made from reclaimed plastic waste that has been diverted from landfill or collected from rivers, oceans and beaches around the world. PA’s first stand was on display at several global events throughout 2018. Last year, it went one better and created an all-new modular system, recycled from the existing stand.

Jo Scarlett, CMO at PA Consulting, says: We’re thrilled with this achievement, and proud of the hard work by the Marketing and Design Studio team, as well as Nick Marks and the brilliant team at Ecobooth. This win demonstrates PA’s ingenuity and its commitment to the environment and sustainability.

“The idea was to create a system that could be configured to fit a space or purpose: some events only require a plinth and backdrop with a screen, others require a more enclosed setting with a large screen for presentations, or multiple screens for greater impact. All of them must deliver a strong visual experience and a functional working environment and none of them, we believe, should be thrown away afterwards. The Ecobooth stand system fits the bill perfectly, it offers removable logos, concealable screens, varied brand elements and hidden storage and has been reused at multiple events around the world.”

Nick Marks, Founder at Ecobooth, says: “It’s a project we are especially proud of as it came from an exploratory partnership between two companies that truly believe to create real change you have to take the odd leap into the unknown and so for placing that faith in us, we can’t thank the PA team enough!”
