The award-winning Indian restaurant has been shortlisted for Takeaway of the Year at The Food Awards 2024 and Restaurant of the Year at the Asian Curry Awards, and is now also a finalist for the prestigious TMIICA Awards 2024 and the English Curry Awards 2024.

Prana’s nomination streak showcases its commitment to authentic, high-quality Indian cuisine and innovative dining experiences. The restaurant’s recent successes include winning the Lux Life Award earlier this year, propelling them into the spotlight as one of the UK’s most acclaimed Indian dining destinations.

The restaurant is now in the running to win at four key industry events:

  • TMIICA Awards 2024 – Finals held in Birmingham on 29th September.
  • Asian Curry Awards – Hosted at London’s Mayfair on 17th November.
  • The Food Awards 2024 – For the coveted Best Takeaway of the Year on 7th October.
  • English Curry Awards – Recognising the restaurant as a leader in British-Indian cuisine 28th October.

Kobir Ahmed, Owner and Executive Chef at Prana, expressed his excitement: “We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted for such prestigious awards. This recognition from the culinary community and our customers is a testament to the passion and hard work our team pours into every dish. Winning or losing, being in the finals of these awards is a huge honor, I am also proud that Prana continues to shine a light into Cambridge's food scene.”

Prana’s journey to becoming a national contender began in 2012 with a focus on traditional & modern Indian flavours, sustainability, and exceptional service. These core values have set the restaurant apart in a highly competitive industry and earned them a loyal customer base, along with accolades from food critics and industry experts alike.

With four high-profile nominations and a recent win at the Lux Life Awards 2024, Prana is rapidly becoming a major player in the UK’s Indian restaurant scene. Each of the nominated events is expected to showcase the best in the industry, and Prana’s presence reinforces its role as a standout leader in both takeaway and dine-in experiences.

As the countdown to the award ceremonies begins, Prana invites its customers and the local community to join in celebrating this exciting milestone. The restaurant will continue to serve its innovative and authentic dishes, ensuring every guest leaves with a taste of the excellence that defines Prana.
