Delivering a quality service in a safe venue is important for all businesses, which is why Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, are delighted to share that their Education and Conference Centre has been awarded the Meetings and Industry AIM Secure accreditation, as recognition of excellence in delivering a business meetings and events service.
Louise Higgins, Business Development Manager at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, explains: “We are thrilled to receive this award from the Meetings Industry Association, the sector’s leading trade body for business meetings and events. The accreditation assures our venue hire partners, customers, and charity supporters booking with the Venue Hire Team, can expect a high-quality service and venue for their meetings and conferences at our award-winning building. “
Supported by Meet Cambridge, the convention bureau for the city and the official venue-finding service for the Cambridge Colleges, the Education and Conference Centre is one of 38 Cambridgeshire venues to have been awarded AIM Secure Accreditation by the Meetings Industry Association (mia). AIM Secure scrutinises a range of areas: the quality of the meeting and events facilities, commitment to delivering a healthy and hygienic environment, standard of service delivery, compliance with legislation and a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the environment.
Louise added: “During the pandemic, when venue hire was difficult, we took the time to improve the client experience. The AV system was upgraded to include a larger screen for improved projection as well as the installation of mobile video conferencing and we now offer hybrid packages for up to 60 people with expertise and technical support from our AV partner, Venue Audio Visual. This means we can offer room hire packages for studio space for virtual events too. “
We ensure our Centre offers accessibility and sustainability. From our large, accessible, light filled rooms to allergens and preferences menus, we can cater for all needs. Our modern building benefits from environmental features including solar panels, green roofs, and motion censored lighting to maximise energy efficiency. We launched our Going Green campaign and we make environmentally aware decisions, such as sourcing local produce where possible for our buffet menus and we have reduced single use plastic by introducing glass bottled table water for our venue hire customers and provide eco-friendly packaging. This supports the Charity’s five-year strategy working towards a net zero carbon approach.
If you are looking for a new venue partner or would like to hire a meeting room for 2023, the Venue Hire Team at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity would love to hear from you. Your support means you will be helping people, and their families, in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition to receive outstanding end of life care.
