A Foundation Built on Expertise

Dr. Majid Al-Kader is a a luminary in edtech, with more than 25 years of experience in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). As CEO of mXreality and co-founder of Metaverse Learning, he has transformed education with VR platforms adopted by higher profile clients such as Network Rail and the British Army. His ambition to expand into China aligns perfectly with EFEC’s goals, creating a synergy that promises innovation in STEM education.

EFEC, under the leadership of CEO Lily Lin, brings over 19 years of experience as a recognised provider of education and skills development in China, particularly in the dynamic Yangtse Delta region. With its dedicated China office, EFEC is a trusted facilitator of UK-China ecosystems, connecting universities, businesses, and government bodies through win-win partnerships. Beyond navigating the nuances of bilateral relations, EFEC has built a reputation for delivering impactful training and development programmes, making it a key player in the region's UK-China educational cooperation landscape.

Aiming for Impact in STEM

The heart of this MoU is a shared commitment to enhance STEM education through technology. EFEC is thrilled to support Dr. Al-Kader’s vision of bringing immersive tools—like VR simulations and AR-enhanced training—to Chinese students and institutions. These technologies could redefine how STEM subjects are taught, offering hands-on, engaging experiences that bridge theory and practice. The potential is compelling: equipping Chinese students with globally competitive skills while fostering new opportunities for UK and Chinese businesses in the STEM sector.

At this early stage, the details of the partnership are still taking shape. Both EFEC and Dr. Al-Kader are committed to ensuring their joint efforts are thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of both markets, with an eye toward impactful, long-term results.

A Future with Potential

Looking ahead, this collaboration offers a glimpse of what's possible. EFEC's role as an education and skills provider in China, paired with its ability to foster cross-border ecosystems, positions it to amplify Dr Al-Kader's ambitions. Together, we aspire to create a STEM edtech framework that empowers students, supports businesses, and strengthens educational ties between the UK and China.
