Quadro Design Director exhibits safety with style at Motorcycle Live show

Morag Hutcheon, Design Director at BDI member Quadro Design Associates, is showcasing her TwoZero brand of high visibility clothing and accessories at Motorcycle Live at The NEC, Birmingham from 24 November to 2 December.

“It’s one thing to advise clients about innovation, product development and routes to market. It’s another to actually set about doing it yourself,’ said Morag prior to the event.

“What it does do is give us some real hands-on experience in building a brand, creating a supply chain and managing our pricing whilst delivering really great quality desirable products.”

As a biker and cyclist Morag conceived the whole range out of her frustration that, hitherto, safety products have lacked style and versatility. TwoZero clothing includes a gilet and lightweight waterproof jacket in full florescent yellow and black. Each has clever side expanding panels that enable them to fit over a rucksack ‒ thus maintaining reflection and visibility. To go with the jacket there are also black waterproof over-trousers that can be worn easily on top of leathers.

The clothing is complemented by a range of reflective accessories: an 'X' shape belt with mesh front and back pockets giving easy access to keys, wallets etc; and a range of bags and LED lights. The bags are shower proof and fit closely across a rider’s body. They have a swivel feature to allow easy movement to the front of your waist without having to take them off and a practical large zip that can be opened even when wearing gloves. There are no metallic parts so they’ll be no scratching of the tank! The LEDs can be attached to a rucksack, or to the gilet or jacket, for extra visibility.
