This evening reception will take place at Trinity Hall (University of Cambridge), and each guest will be able to take part in a tour of the Old Library which dates back to c.1590 (some manuscripts are almost 1000 years old). There will be two library tours - 6.30pm and 7pm, and in addition attendees will be able to enjoy exclusive access to Trinity Hallʼs beautiful gardens.
As well as providing an insight into one of Cambridgeʼs historic Colleges on the banks of the Cam, this event will also raise much needed funds for the charity. Wintercomfort will use all profits from the event to benefit homeless men and women in the community, providing services including workshops, advice and support as well as washing facilities and two meals per day.
Sarah Halls, Director of Wintercomfort, commented “We are delighted to be hosting this summer fundraiser in such a unique and historic setting and are looking forward to welcoming all those who would like to support our endeavors”.
Tickets for the summer event are priced at £14 per person and can be purchased from the Wintercomfort website - http://www.wintercomfort.org.uk/?p=2480 or by calling the charity on 01223 518140.
