Salimetrics today announced ownership and executive management changes that will encourage greater collaboration between the Company’s world-class salivary assay teams and its research and diagnostic customers in order to further expand opportunities for developing new Salivary Biomarkers. As part of these changes, Hans Schroeder, Bob Larson, PhD, and Jon Peterson, PhD will add more responsibilities to their roles.
Salimetrics also announced that co-founders Eve Schwartz and Richard Supina, who were integral in shepherding the company through its early start-up phase, have sold their shares in Salimetrics to Douglas Granger, PhD, founder, and Hans Schroeder, who will also serve as CEO. Dr. Granger, now a professor at Johns Hopkins University and the Director of the JHU Center for Interdisciplinary Salivary Bioscience Research, remains the Chief Scientific & Strategy Advisor and a majority owner of Salimetrics.“We are in one of the most prolific periods of innovation and new products in Salimetrics’ history,” said Dr. Granger. “Salivary bioscience is at the dawn of a new age. According to Mr. Schroeder, who joined Salimetrics in 2009, “This reorganization positions Salimetrics with a leadership team that has considerable experience in research and product development, a team that will responsibly guide the emergence of commercial and consumer applications derived from discoveries in the field of salivary bioscience.”
Bob Larson, PhD will take on the additional responsibility of site management, placing all of our State College, PA operations in one group. Jon Peterson, PhD will lead research and development for new salivary collection devices as well as salivary assays.
