Once world leading, our agricultural processing plants now use double the energy of those in the EU says Richard Hirst, Chairman of Anglia Farmers. “This is impacting prospects for new factories and jobs”.
He believes there are considerable opportunities to improve efficiency and performance in the industry and the purchasing cooperative is supporting an Agri-Tech East meeting on funding to help stimulate innovation in the industry.
For the first time all the major agri-tech funding agencies have been brought together in one place.
Dr Belinda Clarke, Director of Agri-Tech East, says: “This Pollinator aims to demystify the application process so that people that have not previously considered applying for funding will be encouraged to do so. There will also be an opportunity to network with other like-minded individuals and to meet with funding agencies.”
Organisations represented will include: BBSRC, Innovate UK, Enterprise Europe Network, ADAPT Commercial, and the Eastern Agri-Tech Growth Initiative.
‘Agri-Tech – Focus on Funding’ – January 26th, 16:00-19.30, Centrum Building, Norwich Research Park, Norwich (Sat Nav NR4 7UH) supported by Anglia Farmers.
