You may not know that of the 150 languages for which One Stop Language Solutions provides interpretation, British Sign Language and American Sign Language are two of them!
Following the use of American Sign Language (ASL) at The Oscars this year, a valuable and necessary addition aided by the brilliant success of the wonderful movie CODA, it was a joy to see The Grammys following suit, with American artist (and multiple Grammy Award winner) Olivia Rodrigo conducting interviews alongside an ASL interpreter she had brought with her to the event.
In addition, many other high-profile Grammy nominees had also recruited ASL interpreters to increase their accessibility and promote inclusion during the awards ceremony coverage, including Elle King, Mickey Guyton and Chloe Bailey.
One of the stars of CODA, Marlee Matlin, openly praised Olivia on Twitter for bringing her ASL translator with her to the awards ceremony. This has been an unprecedented year for ASL at prestigious awards ceremonies, and I think it’s fair to say this is a breakthrough time for ASL and British Sign Language, too.
One Stop Language Solutions are ready to provide interpretation for your interview or event so you can ensure your business is fully inclusive.
Let’s keep momentum going and encourage more industries to engage.
