At this month’s IP EXPO, Signify will be showcasing its fully-hosted 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) service that helps companies of any size to quickly and easily secure remote access. The Signify service has a framework of policies, procedures, logistics and 24/7 user support that simplifies the entire identity management lifecycle and so that companies are able to successfully manage digital identity and have a more secure, reliable and flexible solution than they could ever achieve by running their own in-house systems.
As an independent service provider with its own research labs, Signify offers the widest variety of ‘best of breed’ authentication methods, including hardware and smartphone software tokens as well as passcodes delivered on-demand via SMS to a mobile phone. This means that companies are able to pick the authentication methods that suit their users’ needs and corporate working practices. They can even mix and match authentication methods down to the individual user.
“We have been running hosted authentication services for a wide variety of customers for over 11 years now and provide 99.9999% service availability,” said Dave Abraham, CEO at Signify.” We have defined and automated many best-practice lifecycle management policies and processes. For example our service infrastructure allows for 24x7 proactive monitoring of any problems, enabling issues to be instantly identified, managed and resolved, often before the customer is even aware of it, so it can be fixed before it impacts on the business.”
Signify’s Identity Management Centre (IMC) web portal allows users to manage their own accounts and gives administrators the ability to enforce security policies, add or remove users and delegate management responsibility on a regional or departmental level, as well as providing the reporting tools to track each token and monitor usage information.
“The time, infrastructure and expertise needed to deploy and manage digital identity to keep secure 2FA up and running is something businesses often ignore when comparing in-house or managed solutions,” Abraham continued. “Just the time it takes to keep up to date with latest server updates and security patches can be significant; let alone having to deal with forgotten or lost credentials.
Most companies simply do not have the in-house resources to give 2FA the focus it needs. Our customers range from a single user to 10,000 users.”
Signify is exhibiting at IP EXPO, 17-18October in Earl’s Court 2, stand number G30.
