St John's Innovation Centre searches for the hottest innovation-led start-ups in the region

With less than 100 days until the inaugural Venturefest East (VFE) event, celebrating and showcasing innovation in the east region, St John’s Innovation Centre joins other tech clusters on the quest to find and reveal the most promising start-ups in the Wireless, Life Sciences, Agri-Tech, Cleantech, Internet of Things (IoT), Mobile Communications, Digital and Creative Sectors.

St John’s Innovation Centre writes:

We are now inviting all founders and early-stage business owners from our community (physical and virtual tenants) to enter the VFE Competition for a chance to win exhibition spaces and an opportunity to be chosen to pitch your business idea to top investors during the Venturefest East ‘Fast and Furious Pitch Off’ taking place on 24th May 2016 at the Rowley Mile Racecourse in Newmarket.

TO ENTER, all you have to do is answer the following questions and return them by email to anadolna@stjohns.co.uk. The deadline for submitting your answers is noon, 21st March 2016.

Competition questions:

a)    Who are you? Please provide contact details and your website URL

b)    Why do you consider your product to be innovative?

c)     What will you showcase at the event if you win a free exhibition table?

 How does it work?

Five shortlisted companies will receive a FREE ENTRY PASS and FREE EXIBITION SPACE at the event. Among these five innovative businesses, the judges at SJIC will then choose one company with the most impressive idea, technology or solution that will go straight to the ‘Fast and Furious Pitch Off’ final and present it in front of a judge panel and 11 start-up founders selected by other tech clusters in the East of England region.
