If so, TWI Innovation Network (TWIIN) training courses are a great way to learn how you can hone the quality and relevance of your bid to give it the best chance of success.
The next two courses scheduled are part of a training programme, launched in early 2022, designed to upskill researchers, project leaders/managers and administrative staff in the private sector, higher education institutions, research and technology organisations and other research-performing bodies, on Horizon Europe (HE) proposal bidding and project finances. An additional benefit of attending is that the majority of the capabilities and knowledge you can expect to gain through the training, is also transferable to other public funding domains, such as Innovate UK.
So what can you expect if you attend one of the courses? Firstly, our two training course leaders, TWI’s Heidi Dyson, Group Manager, Public Funding Management, and James Foden, Section Manager, Technology Innovation Management, are highly experienced in pre- and post-award research delivery, and bring with them around 30 years’ combined experience in ‘expert evaluation’ in the collaborative, public funding arena, so they know what it takes to make a winning concept or proposal. Their approach is grounded in reality and best practice rather than delivering textbook material, and comprises taught modules with hands-on ‘class’ exercises. Secondly, a primary strand of TWIIN’s core business since the early 2,000s has been, and continues to be, successfully managing a large pipeline of research proposals through the bidding process, therefore, attendees can be confident that the courses are fit-for-purpose.
