Tame your computer at networking breakfast

Modern computers are increasingly powerful, but most of us fail to make the best use of them - simply because we're not aware of all their capabilities. The next Cambridge Network Breakfast Networking session this Thursday (30th June) will not only help you master your machine, but will also help you understand how to protect yourself from online threats.

This double whammy event from 8 to 10am at St John’s Innovation Centre (Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS) features two Network members: Karen Roem - author of the popular Tame your computer series on this site - and Michael J. Yardley, IT and systems manager at Cambridge Enterprise Ltd, University of Cambridge.

These entertaining speakers promise an informative session that will give you both practical lessons and food for thought.

Even if you believe you have mastered Windows or Microsoft Office (and let's face it, do you even know all the features of the software?) you will go away with new tricks, tips and shortcuts that you never would have found on your own. Following on, Michael will be looking at some of the simplest ways you can protect yourself digitally, both in business and at home.
