This is the third consecutive year since inception of the awards, that the firm has been recognised. It has been commended across five categories in this year's report, including company and commercial, private client (inheritance & succession), intellectual property and technology, media & telecoms.
Firms in the report are recognised as a result of direct market feedback. A survey conducted by The Times in April each year asks solicitors in England and Wales to nominate the best law firms across 26 categories, covering the business, public and private-client fields. 4,619 individuals fed into this year's report, an increase from 3,271 the previous year.
Taylor Wessing's work on the US $550 million Babylon deal, one of the largest ever fund-raising rounds for a British start-up, and its work on the £60 million funding round for Monzo was especially commended. The firm was also praised for its work with the UK government on the establishment of the Future Fund, providing loans to early stage, high-growth firms to help them through the coronavirus crisis.
