Tom’s Trust has appointed Kirsty Keegan as its first ever head of fundraising to continue its mission in providing mental health support to families living with a brain tumour across the UK.

Kirsty re-joined the charity in July after a four-year hiatus where she fundraised for Wallace Cancer Care, which became Maggie’s, and most recently worked on the leadership team at Cambridge Arts Theatre.

She was Tom’s Trust’s first ever member of the fundraising team, working as a fundraiser for the Cambridge charity between 2013 to 2017.

With a background in marketing, events and exhibition organising, Kirsty will help to increase fundraising income for Tom’s Trust to keep the charity’s vital services running for children with brain tumours and their families. She will also help the charity to achieve their ambitious five-year strategy.

Kirsty, who is from Cambridge, said: “I’m thrilled to be back with Tom’s Trust and am looking forward to the challenge of ensuring that all children in the UK have access to our services.”

Debs Mitchell, Co-founder of Tom’s Trust, said: “It was a wonderful moment when I heard the news that Kirsty was coming back to Tom’s Trust. She was there at the beginning and her rejoining will allow us to fulfil Tom’s legacy by supporting all UK children and their families”The Tom's Trust team in Cambridge
