Screwfix builds on its 460 unit presence across the UK by securing the 4,628 sq ft space on the trade park. As the largest trade counter occupier in the market, this addition positions SCTP as a prime trade park in central London.
Topps Tiles, the UK’s largest tile specialist will be moving into the 5,100 sq ft space with its doors set to open this month. These two new occupiers will join Crown Decorators and White Villa, leaving one remaining unit available. The final unit sits between Screwfix and Topps Tiles and consists of 6,100 sq ft.
Richard Ward, director of trade counter development and trade counter projects at Screwfix, said: “Screwfix is delighted to announce that as part of its nationwide expansion plan it will be opening a new store with the Howard Group at the Surrey Canal Trade Park, Nr South Bermondsey later this year.”
Colin Brown, development manager at Howard Group, said: “We’re pleased to welcome Screwfix and Topps Tiles to the line-up as our latest national occupiers at Surrey Canal Trade Park. These leading retailers are valuable additions to the trade park offering and surrounding area. With nearly all units occupied, we’re excited to find an occupier for the last space and bring five top brands to the borough.”
The five unit trade park, constructed in an area of massive regeneration and investment in north Lewisham, has proved incredibly popular with trade counter occupiers due to its central location. New Bermondsey is an exciting regeneration zone and one of London’s most dynamic growth areas. Significant infrastructure and redevelopment projects are underway which will facilitate over 12,500 new homes and generate massive infrastructure and commercial investment.
Surrey Canal Trade Park provides five trade counter/industrial units ranging from 3,035 sq ft to 6,775 sq ft, all of which benefit from direct roadside frontage.
