Opening from May in the check in area of Cambridge International Airport’s newly refurbished terminal, the new leisure and business travel store will mark the first time Fred. Olsen Travel – which boasts seven high street stores across East Anglia – uses a local airport as its base.
This follows news that leading European airline, CityJet, will be launching two new routes from the airport as of 1 May 2014. CityJet will be introducing a new double daily route to Dublin and Amsterdam, with each route offering exceptional onward connectivity to worldwide destinations. Passengers can also take advantage of weekly flights to Verona and Jersey for a variety of cruise, luxury and summer holidays.
Fred. Olsen Travel’s managing director, Steve Williams, said, “We’re delighted to launch our first ever airport terminal outlet at Cambridge International Airport. Our decision was based on shared values; like the airport, we believe in offering our customers a first class experience, with professional, attentive staff, an excellent product and great value pricing. Plus, the airport location is ideal, just three miles outside the city of Cambridge, with easy access from all major road networks for all our customers across East Anglia.”
Cambridge International Airport’s head of business & route development, David Surley, said, “Fred. Olsen Travel is a highly respected leisure and business travel agency, and hugely popular with our passengers, so we are thrilled to be hosting its newest outlet in our terminal. The new branch is located in our check-in area, meaning that anyone can take advantage of the location, not just passengers travelling through Cambridge International Airport. Customers can also take advantage of free parking in our terminal car park, just off Newmarket Road.”
