The QES is the largest and longest-running business survey in the UK and is a powerful tool for representing the voice of business to Government. All responses, which will remain completely anonymous, will be used to form a picture of the local economic prospects as well as contributing to the regional analysis which is known to be held in high regard by the government, Bank of England and economic commentators.
With the ongoing pandemic, the data will mark the clear shift from pre-Coronavirus conditions to the current situation and will form a significant part of the historical record.
Vic Annells, Chief Executive, Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “The survey is multiple-choice, so takes just a couple of minutes to complete. It will help us fully understand how the last three months have been for your business and the challenges you’re facing.
“We’re really keen to hear about plans for the size of your workforce, your investment plans and any factors that might be adversely affecting your business.”
Responses are collated nationally by the British Chambers of Commerce and used to help the government understand the true realities facing the business community - so SME contributions are as vital as ever.
