Veterinary telemedicine company sees success with new office down under

VetCT, a specialist telemedicine provider helping vets diagnose and treat animals worldwide, opened a subsidiary company in Australia earlier this year to serve local vets in Australasia and to enable provision of a round-the-clock service to all clients across the globe.

The new office based in Perth, Western Australia, currently employs veterinary specialists to service existing clients in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and China. It is designed to meet demand and guarantee a fast turnaround time to meet the needs of vets using MRI, CT and digital radiography for their patients.

Established in Cambridge in 2009 with the mission to provide a high quality reporting service for referral clinics and vets, the company has achieved substantial growth over the past five years with clients based in Scandinavia, and Australasia.

Julien Labruyère, Director of VetCT, comments: “Our new office in Australia is an expansion tactic but also strategic as it enables us to develop our resources at home for the benefit of clinics worldwide. The positive reviews we receive are testament to the bespoke, dedicated and committed service our clients receive. It is an exciting time for VetCT as we push the boundaries of modern veterinary medicine and pave the way for new concepts, ideas and innovative technology.”

VetCT recently launched a pioneering 3D printing service that allows vets to request 3D models printed from their CT scan images, putting precision at the heart of patient service. These objects are accurate to a submillimetric degree, can be produced in true size or as a scaled model and have a broad range of clinical uses. 3D printing can be applied to a range of clinical applications in the veterinary medicine profession including in orthopedics, vascular health and oncology.

“St John’s Innovation Centre is delighted to see one of its tenants scaling up and expanding into new geographic markets across the world. VetCT is a growing company with a reputation of excellence, built on a foundation of education, patient care and quality control combined with sound leadership and a strong management team,” comments Dr. Soraya Jones, Entrepreneur in Residence at St John’s Innovation Centre.

Founded in 2009 by veterinary radiologists Victoria Johnson and Julien Labruyère, VetCT continues to put the knowledge of their specialist team at the fingertips of clinics, enabling vets to reach an accurate diagnosis faster and to facilitate optimal treatment planning.
