These amazing journals tell the stories of the average soldier, their thoughts, poetry, stories and cartoons.
Adrian Taplin of WaveFX commented: “Duxford museum is a great place, but to go behind the scenes and explore this archive is an extraordinary privilege, what impressed me the most was the humour and comic sketches within these journals, especially when you consider the awful conditions these soldiers found themselves.”
From a video production point of view, WaveFX produced a cinematic style using a variety of DSLR cameras, rails and dollies. It was a two-day shoot and three-day edit with all the crew and equipment from the in-house team.
