The delegation enjoyed complimentary travel from London courtesy of Govia Thameslink Railway Limited, highlighting the proximity of Cambridge to the capital – a journey time of just 45 minutes from King’s Cross.
They then enjoyed brunch and a showround at Robinson College’s new Crausaz Wordsworth Building before a guided walk with See Cambridge Differently, taking in King’s College Chapel on the way.
A lunch tasting and chefs’ presentation at Emmanuel College showcased its award-winning cuisine, at which the guests were given a preview of some of the latest dishes to be included in the Autumn menus.
A chauffeured punt, with local company Scudamores, took the party from the Quayside to the Doubletree by Hilton for cocktails and afternoon tea, before they went back to Cambridge station for the return journey to London.
Judith Sloane, Deputy Manager at Conference Cambridge said: “We were delighted to showcase what Cambridge has to offer to the readers of Executive PA Magazine and to show that the city can provide a wide range of stunning venues for events outside London. With a travelling time of under one hour, we are finding that many London-based companies and organisations are keen to get outside the capital for meetings, conferences, dining and away-days.
“We are very grateful to those who gave their time to join us, as well as our venues and suppliers who worked with us to share the Cambridge story with our guests.”
