Distinguished Lecture: Wi-Fi 7

Wi-Fi 7 is here, and it promises to significantly boost the speed and stability of your wireless connections, with reliable low-latency performance and the ability to manage more connections.

So if you design, apply or use Wi-Fi join the Radio Technology SIG for an event on the impact of Wi-Fi 7.

In three presentations this event will explain how these are achieved, covering the regulatory framework, radio technology as well as the challenge of measuring and validating the performance. With talks from;

  • Tony Lavender, Senior Advisor, Plum Consulting who will talk to 'WiFi – Navigating a complex spectrum and regulatory environment'
  • Richard van Nee, Senior Director, Qualcomm International Technologies who will provide an overview of benefits of Wi-Fi 7 and potenital application areas such as positioning and sensing.
  • Jonathan Borrill, CTO, Anritsu will share ‘Key technology enhancements and real-world performance measurements in the evolution to Wi-Fi 7’

Where: Department of Computer Science and Technology, Cambridge University.

When: 8th April 2025, 14:00 – 17:00
