Bathroom and boiler installation specialist BI-UK has taken an office at The EpiCentre. The company is run by husband and wife team, Dan and Hayley Bruton and it has taken a four-person office at the centre to accommodate the quickly growing business.
Hayley Bruton, Co-Director and Office Manager, says: “We were working from our home in Haverhill but as we expanded, we found that we needed a dedicated office and The EpiCentre has everything we are looking for. Now we have up to nine people working with the company.
The business is expanding fast fitting up to eight bathrooms per month and aiming for 16-20 boiler installations per month.
“We love the fact that we can participate in the networking events that are regularly held at The EpiCentre together with the business support and advice that the centre offers.
“Everyone has been very welcoming here and with the café downstairs we can take a break from work while the kitchen areas on each floor allow us to socialise with other businesses.
“We love the pods as well. If we wish to have meetings with our employees or sub-contractors, we can go and use them. If we need to have a larger team meeting, we can use the conference room downstairs.”
Helen Earl, the Centre Manager, says: “We are delighted that Dan, Hayley and their team have quickly integrated themselves into the centre’s business ecosystem as it is very much part of our goal to help create a business community here for the benefit of everyone.”
Before setting up the business with Dan in 2021, Hayley was a secondary school teacher at Stour Valley Community School in Clare where she taught design and technology.
“When Dan finds the time, his passion is fishing for Carp. So expert is he with a fishing rod that at one time he was sponsored by Korda Tackle, a well known fishing tackle retailer. Every year Dan goes to France to fish and has caught carp weighing up to 70lb. “He was born to love fishing”, says Hayley, “but now, of course, his priority is the family and growing the business,” she adds.
