Office: Bar Hill, Cambridgeshire
Hybrid working: one day every 2 weeks in the office at Bar Hill

About The Role
Domino R&D department is going through an exciting period of change, harmonising R&D teams across multiple locations within our global business. As a result, a team is developing which will effectively be a shared service, serving all R&D operations, beyond software and testing, to include IoT and all the platforms and tools used by our electronics, mechanical and chemistry R&D colleagues. This role will build value in our existing platforms, collaborating in the design and implementation of new services as well as supporting the value stream teams in their workday to day. That could include CI/CD pipelines including builds and testing – particularly automated testing – as well as issue tracking, source code management, binary artifact management, observability, and business continuity measures.

The collaborative team will become known for providing highly valued tools and best practices for diverse groups of colleagues, effectively enabling the value stream teams to deliver business value.

It’s an agile environment here at Domino: we’ve adopted Kanban, and most other teams use Scrum. For context, some of the technology we’re currently using is listed below:
- CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Cloud Infrastructure (Azure)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Packer)
- Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- DVCS (GitHub, GitLab)
- Issue Tracking (Jira Cloud)
- Wiki (Confluence Cloud)
- Binary Artifact Management (Artifactory)
- User Management (Microsoft Entra, Atlassian Guard)

About You
We’re looking for an individual with in-depth experience of software development & testing and/or IT operations in a similar role. While the technology we are currently using is listed above, experience in an equivalent is also applicable (for example, AWS instead of Azure). Beyond your technical skills, you’ll play an essential role in guiding others and fostering collaboration therefore we’ll be looking for candidates who can draw upon their experience of supporting and guiding teams and individuals to exchange expertise and ideas, establishing a shared approach and thinking flexibly to break down blockers.
This could be an opportunity for someone who’s looking for a visible role within a challenging, global and multifunctional organisation, where you can build upon your existing strengths to gain influence at all levels.

Domino values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all candidates.
