About the role
This is an exciting role where you will get the opportunity to lead validation activities and field trials for new products being introduced into the Domino coding and marking portfolio. This includes prototype evaluations, in-house Validation and working with our Channels to conduct Field Trials. The goal is to ensure all products meet customer requirements and expectations before launch. Fantastic opportunity to work with many teams within the Domino organisation and gain valuable experience on all technologies within the coding and marking industry.
Key responsibilities;
- Ensure our products are introduced without issue to our internal and external customers by leading in-house validation processes and analysing field trial data.
- Liaise and build relationships externally with our service channels, as well as internally with our Pre-Sales and Technical Support departments (TSG) to transfer knowledge on new products within our portfolio.
- Reporting of issues to the team and the internal stakeholders and advising on priority \ impact by gathering evidence from a customer perspective.
- Create \ adapt validation processes to keep up with the latest customer requirements. Focus on real world validation of our products in line with customer expectations.
About you
You will have a degree in Engineering, Computing, Maths, Science or equivalent, and have the following knowledge or experience: -
- Software Programming / Scripting (Object Orientated Language, Python script or similar)
- Experience or a desire to validate industrial protocol communications with coding equipment is required
- Experience or exposure to customer-focused situations (installations, technical support, MNC, OEM)
- Practical experience of communications and networks (TCP/IP, etc)
- Database competency – ideally MS-SQL or ODBC connections
- Some local and global travel to keep in touch with the latest customer requirements can be expected
- Able to work individually and as part of a team
- Self-motivated with ability to prioritise
- Technically curious, with a passion for solving problems and delivering solutions
- Someone who likes to seek out and adopt new technologies
- A good communicator who pays attention to detail
- Able to identify and capture requirements from a problem statement or customer request, or from visiting a customer application
