We are seeking an experienced and innovative Head of Research Data and Digital Services to transform and optimize services, driving change through innovation and digital transformation, modernising the data and digital solutions underpinning research administration.
You will work as part of the Director of Research Services Senior Leadership team and will play a key role in the University's ambitious five-year Transforming Research Support Programme. to update existing Research Services with the latest generation integrated solutions that enable more effective management of the entire research lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Research Data and Digital Services team in the Research Office
- Operate at scale and provide the connection between multidisciplinary business areas and stakeholders
- Ensure the necessary business processes are followed
- Participate in the governance of the service, including acting as a point of escalation for the delivery teams
- Manage budgets and work in partnership with data, IT and digital teams to allocate funds based on your prioritisation
- Communicate the benefits and performance of services
- Be responsible for the successful operation and continuous improvement of a portfolio of integrated services
About You
We are looking for candidates with:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience of implementing, maintaining and supporting systems within a large organisation
- Experience of delivering professional customer service to ensure service provision and drive continuous improvement
- A proven record of leadership including contributing to strategic planning.
