Salary: £32,000 - £41,000 depending on skills and experience

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Water Recycling Networks (WRN) team as a Risk Analyst. As a risk analyst your primary focus will be on proactively assessing and managing operational risk across the region with a specific focus on rising mains. While reporting to WRN this role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between WRN and Water Recycling Operations (WRO), championing holistic thinking and end to end risk management.
Collaborative working at all levels of – particularly local front-line teams – Water Recycling is at the heart of the role. Through utilising and translating data you will; identify risk trends, develop a consistent risk picture and generate recommendations for risk mitigation with a continuous improvement mindset. You will experience a hybrid working environment with office-based work but also getting out and about embedding yourselves within the relevant local front-line teams.
This role is pivotal to achieving outstanding environmental protection and delivering excellent customer service across Water Recycling through improving our network resilience and taking a proactive approach in everything that they do.

What will you be doing?
Your key duties will include:
- Investigating and analysing key areas of risk with a focus on the rising mains.
- Looking holistically across inter-connecting processes to ensure end to end risk management and coordination, ensuring accuracy and accessibility throughout the business.
- Drive risk profiles for operational changes and interventions across Water Recycling, including the monitoring of KPIs relating to rising main health and performance.
- Collaborate with Front Line Mangers to understand and develop mitigation plans for known risks, ensuring any plans are clearly documented, updated and tracked through to completion.
- Establish a risk-based methodology to assess asset condition and identify critical assets, guiding Maintenance strategies.
- Lead the integration of risk management into decision-making for WRN and WRO.
What does it take to be a Risk Analyst?
- Possession of robust analytical abilities, capable of dissecting complex data to derive meaningful insights.
- Confidence in translating risk related data in an understandable way to a variety of stakeholders.
- A positive and collaborative approach to relationship management with the drive to work as part of a wider team.
- Knowledge of rising main asset class and operation is desirable.
- A drive to learn and develop understanding of new areas with an always exploring mindset.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Powerbi and Excel.
- Familiarity with systems like SAP or Oracle, is desirable.
- Attention to detail is paramount, ensuring accuracy in data management and risk assessment.
- Strong evidence of stakeholder management and presenting information to a variety of stakeholder levels.
- Prioritisation skills are crucial for managing multiple tasks efficiently to navigating the demands of the role.
- The ability to adapt, challenge and work comfortably within changing environments.
- Full UK driving licence is essential
