About the Role:
Anglia Ruskin University Security Section has responsibility for the safety and security of students, staff and visitors across our four campuses. We’re seeking an individual to join our team at our Cambridge campus working 37 hours per week.
As the first point of contact for security and access related enquiries, you’ll be interacting with students, staff and visitors. Working with our Safety & Security Officers, you’ll provide them with support and will be responsible for directing incidents, monitoring and managing systems, alarms and car park access through the remote barriers. You’ll write incident reports, update logs and other duties associated with the smooth running of the security operation at our University.
You’ll be organised, capable of working under pressure with experience of working in an environment where confidentiality is paramount. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you’ll be customer focussed, able to multi-task and be capable of working without supervision. You’ll also be IT literate with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and will be willing to be trained in the use of other systems.
You will require a range of GCSEs at A-C grade or Vocational qualification at NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
